More Than Four Decades of Legal Experience

Attorney Phil Wilson is a local attorney who has dedicated his life to helping people with legal matters. He has practiced law in Lexington, Kentucky and surrounding areas for more than 45 years. He has received from Lexis Nexis/Martindale Hubbell through its Peer Review Rating process an AV Preeminent Rating, which is their highest possible rating in both ability and ethical standards.
In 2001 Phil Wilson and his brother, Earl S. Wilson, Jr. ("Steve"), also an AV Preeminent Rated attorney by Lexis Nexis/Martindale Hubbell, formed Wilson Law Office, PLLC. In 2008 Steve Wilson limited his practice to existing clients and assumed more of an advisory role within WLO. Attorney Phil Wilson handles most, if not all, of the new legal matters accepted by WLO.
The firm bases our legal practice on three founding principles: experience, honesty and integrity. Phil Wilson brings more than four decades of legal experience to each case. The firm has the utmost respect for our clients' concerns and provides candid and honest legal counsel. In addition, we strive to do right by our clients from charging reasonable legal fees to partnering over the long term.

Full-Service Legal Representation in Kentucky

A large part of our practice is devoted to estate planning , including the drafting of individualized wills and trusts.
We also help families in the community through probate and estate administration.
The firm represents small-business owners with many business law issues such as the formation, contract issues, and succession or unraveling a company.
We routinely represent individuals and businesses in real estate transactions and disputes as opposed to real estate closings.

Wilson Law Office has developed a practice area representing persons and firms involved in the business of erecting, owning and operating billboard type advertising devices. Sometimes the right to erect and maintain a billboard type structure in a particular area is determined by issues of statutory and regulatory interpretation. We have had considerable success, including favorable decisions from the Kentucky Supreme Court, in this area of law and are ready, willing and able to assist you, if you are facing such issues.
